Does being popular matter?
Think to yourself, does being popular really matter? In my mind I don't think being popular should impact the way you live your life. I admit I am not the most popular girl in school but I have never had a problem with my friends. But I will also admit that I am not a loser at school either, I have great friends that I love to death. In the novel How to be Popular the main character Stephanie wants to be popular very bad. I think this is ridiculous. She has nice friends and a great life but she wants to be popular. I mean who doesn’t but she is changing herself to become popular at her school. This book intrigues me because I can relate to it, but I would never do what she is. I can’t wait to see what she ends up doing to try to become popular.

In my day, we were more concerned with earning our station in life, though I admit with humiliation that wealth, to a certain degree, mattered as much as character.
